Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP's imprisoned presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu wrote a letter to the mother of his lawyer, Mehmet Pehlivan, who is imprisoned just like him.
İmamoğlu wrote a letter in his own handwriting to the mother of his imprisoned lawyer, Mehmet Pehlivan. The following statements were included in İmamoğlu's letter:
"I am sharing a common fate with your diamond of a son, my dear brother and lawyer, Mehmet.
I know that you are also waiting for your child with longing. While fighting for justice and freedom, against the cruelty inflicted upon all families andthe handful of ambitious people who commit torture,the prayers of mothers and families like you,and the conscience of our nation will prevail."
As families, we are entrusted to one another. My brother Mehmet, we are all entrusted to each other. I embrace you and the entire family with longing."
