Electric water heater causes fire in student boarding house
A fire that broke out in the bathroom of a student boarding house in the Ünye district of Ordu was extinguished before it could spread, thanks to the timely intervention of fire crews.
The fire occurred in a 5-story boarding house located on Sağlık Street in the Atatürk neighborhood. According to the information obtained, smoke began to rise from the bathroom on the 4th floor of the boarding house.
Upon seeing the smoke, the boarding house staff evacuated the students in a short time. Following the report, numerous police, medical, and fire crews were dispatched to the area.
Crews from the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Ünye Fire Department Group Command arrived at the scene and intervened in the fire.
While the boarding house staff moved the students to a safe location, an investigation into the fire was initiated.
