Engin Polat's lawyer, Sevinç Horoz, announced that her client has been acquitted of the 'fraud' charge, which was considered the predicate offense for the charge of 'laundering of assets'.
Making a statement via her social media account, Horoz shared the acquittal decision regarding Polat and used the following expressions:
"For the information of the public, my client Engin Polat was ACQUITTED today at the end of the trial process regarding the Fraud Crime, which was considered the predicate offense for the crime of Laundering of Assets"
Engin Polat, quoting Sevinç Horoz's post, responded by saying "Thank God".
