Tense moments were experienced at Orlando International Airport in the US state of Florida. Passengers on board a passenger plane preparing for takeoff were evacuated after a fire broke out in one of the aircraft's engines.

According to information obtained from the US Federal Aviation Administration, the incident occurred shortly after a Delta Air Lines Airbus 330 departed from the gate, bound for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in the state of Georgia. One of the two engines of the plane, which was carrying 282 passengers, caught fire for reasons yet to be determined.

While passengers were rapidly evacuated using "emergency slides," the moments of panic were captured by amateur cameras. It was announced that the fire was extinguished following the swift intervention of firefighting crews. It was stated that the 282 passengers and 12 crew members on board survived the incident unharmed and that "there were no deaths or injuries." A comprehensive investigation into the incident has been launched. In a statement made by Delta Air Lines, it was expressed that "the evacuated passengers will be taken to Atlanta on another flight."

A SERIES OF ACCIDENTS HAD OCCURRED

On February 1, 7 people lost their lives when an air ambulance crashed near a shopping center in Philadelphia. On February 17, a passenger plane belonging to the US-based Delta Air Lines flipped over during its landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Canada, and 18 people were injured in that accident. Finally, on April 11, a helicopter crashed into the Hudson River in New York, and all 6 people on board lost their lives.
