Entry to forest areas banned in another province

In a statement issued by the Kilis Governor's Office, it was stated that certain decisions have been taken to protect against forest fires, and within this scope, stopping, picnicking, using barbecues or samovars, and burning any kind of vegetation around forests or on roads passing through or along the edges of forests are prohibited.

The statement included the following expressions:

"It is prohibited to conduct drive hunts in forest areas, and to use fireworks, wish lanterns, or flammable and explosive materials in facilities, picnic areas, tent camping areas, weddings, and entertainment organizations located within or near forests. Citizens will only be able to use the picnic areas designated for them by taking the necessary precautions. Lighting fires outside of the stoves located in recreational areas is prohibited. In necessary cases, effective intervention against fires will be ensured by using all public and private sector resources under the order of our Governor's Office."

The statement, which noted that entry to forest areas is banned from June 15 until November 1, recorded that administrative and judicial proceedings will be initiated against those who act in violation of the decisions and measures in accordance with the Forestry, Turkish Penal, and Misdemeanors laws.
