Ercan Yılmaz, linked to the Barış Boyun gang, captured in Armenia

The Ministry of Interior announced that Ercan Yılmaz and İbrahim Kaymak, who were wanted via Interpol Red Notice and linked to the Barış Boyun criminal organization, have been brought to Turkey by the Turkish police following negotiations with Armenia.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that, as a result of ongoing efforts, organized crime group leader Ercan Yılmaz and İbrahim Kaymak, who were wanted via Interpol Red Notice and linked to the Barış Boyun criminal organization, were captured in Armenia and brought to Turkey by the Turkish police.


In his statement, Minister Yerlikaya said, "Under the coordination of our Special Operations Presidency and Aviation Department, they have been brought to our country today to be held accountable before Turkish Justice for the crimes they committed." Minister Yerlikaya thanked the security forces for the operation and added, "We thank the Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia, Mr. Tigran Dadunts, for the cooperation they displayed."

WHO ARE ERCAN YILMAZ AND İBRAHİM KAYMAK?

Ercan Yılmaz had been wanted nationally for 15 years with 43 arrest warrants and internationally for 14 years via an Interpol Red Notice. In addition to crime group leader Ercan Yılmaz, who was stated to be linked to the Barış Boyun criminal organization, İbrahim Kaymak had been wanted nationally for 6 years with 10 arrest warrants and internationally for 1 year via an Interpol Red Notice.
