He started primary school in Ankara and later continued his education in Kayseri and İzmir. He completed middle school at the İzmir Private Turkish College. He graduated from İzmir Narlıdere Mehmet Seyfi Eraltay High School. 

Beşikçioğlu, entered the Hacettepe University State Conservatory in 1989 and graduated in 1993. Concurrently with his conservatory education, he participated in workshops on 'creative drama' led by British director William Gaskill.
