In his conversation with Zelensky, AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan stated that the conflict process in Iran should not hinder the search for peace in Ukraine.

Erdoğan also noted that the safety of navigation in the Black Sea is of critical importance to Turkey, and that Turkey would provide all possible support for a ceasefire that would protect ports.

In a post shared on the Directorate of Communications' social media account, it was stated: "President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The leaders discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Ukraine, as well as regional and global issues.

During the meeting, our President stated that the conflict process in Iran should not hinder the search for peace in Ukraine, that it would be beneficial to continue negotiations without delay, and that healing Ukraine's wounds, starting reconstruction efforts, and ensuring lasting security are of great importance.

President Erdoğan expressed that the safety of navigation in the Black Sea is of critical importance for Turkey, that securing a ceasefire that would ensure the protection of energy infrastructure and ports could contribute to building trust between the parties, and that Turkey would provide all the support it can for this."
