AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan traveled to Ahlat for the 954th anniversary of the Battle of Malazgirt.
Speaking there, Erdoğan's agenda included the new opening process referred to as 'Terror-Free Turkey'.
Emphasizing 'Turks, Kurds, and Arabs' in his speech, Erdoğan said:
"History is full of countless examples of the successes we have achieved when we, as Turks, Kurds, and Arabs, have been one and walked together toward common goals. The knot at Malazgirt was untied with this spirit; the gates of Jerusalem were opened with this spirit; it is this same spirit that made Çanakkale impassable. The War of Independence, in which we brought the seven powers to their knees, was brought to victory with this spirit. We will tighten our ranks. We will repel all attacks targeting our unity and solidarity by standing shoulder to shoulder. We will gift a great and powerful Turkey to future generations."
Erdoğan also noted the following regarding the opening process:
"We will continue to walk with determined steps toward the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey, which disturbs our adversaries, knowing what we are doing. We will build a bright Turkey together without letting the legacy of our martyrs and veterans fall to the ground. We have suffered much and paid many prices on this path. We have managed to overcome them all. Now, we have reached the final stretch. With a little more patience, effort, and attention, we will pass this stretch as well."
