Erdoğan files lawsuit against Tanju Özcan over 'nothing grows where you step' remark
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has filed a compensation lawsuit against CHP Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan.
Erdoğan has filed a compensation lawsuit against Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan due to remarks Özcan made about him during the national matches.
Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan announced that a lawsuit has been filed against him by President Erdoğan due to a comment he made following the Turkey-Netherlands match.
Sharing the issue on his social media account, Özcan stated the following:
“Because I posted 'Don't go to the Turkey-Netherlands national match, Mr. Erdoğan, nothing grows where you step,' the gentleman has filed a lawsuit demanding 250 thousand TL in compensation! The President of this country has started following X posts just to collect compensation!

"YOU BRING BAD LUCK"
My suggestion to them is to follow the economy instead of X posts and focus on the problems of those in our country who cannot make ends meet! Also, unfortunately, I was proven right about the match! I think you should leave the stadium, don't even watch the national match on TV, you bring bad luck”
