Erdoğan holds phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Carney
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. The discussion covered bilateral relations between the two countries, regional and global developments, and the upcoming NATO Leaders' Summit to be held in Turkey.
According to a statement from the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, the meeting addressed cooperation in various fields, primarily trade, security, the defense industry, and energy between Turkey and Canada.
During the call, Erdoğan stated that they are working to elevate relations between the two countries to a higher level and will continue to take steps in this direction with determination.
Touching upon the NATO Leaders' Summit to be hosted by Turkey, Erdoğan expressed his hope that the summit would serve as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation among allies.
Furthermore, Erdoğan congratulated Canadian Prime Minister Carney on Canada Day, which is celebrated on July 1.
