Erdoğan holds phone call with Sultan of Oman

In the meeting announced by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications on its social media account X, it was stated that bilateral relations between Turkey and Oman and regional issues were discussed.

ERDOĞAN: ATTACKS TARGETING OMAN ARE UNACCEPTABLE

It was noted that Erdoğan stated that the attacks on Iran and Iran's response to countries in the region have left the region facing an unprecedented security crisis, and that attacks targeting Oman are unacceptable.

The statement made by the Directorate of Communications on its social media account X regarding the meeting is as follows:

"Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, held a phone call with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman.

The leaders discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Oman and regional issues.

During the meeting, our President stated that the attacks on Iran and the subsequent responses by Iran to brotherly countries in the region have left our region facing an unprecedented security crisis, and that we find the attacks targeting Oman unacceptable.

President Erdoğan stated that as Turkey, we have not abandoned diplomatic initiatives, including mediation, even in the current situation, and that these efforts will continue.

Our President expressed that the Netanyahu government's obstruction of access to Al-Aqsa Mosque is absolutely unacceptable, that Gaza is in need of humanitarian aid, and that the work of the Peace Council must continue with the goal of a two-state solution.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan also congratulated Haitham bin Tariq on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr."
