Erdoğan holds phone call with Zelensky
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which he delivered messages regarding bilateral relations, regional developments, and the peace process.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
During the call, the two leaders discussed relations between Turkey and Ukraine, as well as efforts to find peace in the Ukraine-Russia war and other regional and global issues.
Erdoğan stated that they are closely following the contacts in Alaska and Washington, and that Turkey continues its efforts to ensure the war concludes with a lasting peace. Erdoğan further expressed that Turkey will continue to contribute to Ukraine's security once peace is achieved.
Emphasizing that a fair solution to the Ukraine-Russia war is possible, Erdoğan noted that negotiations between the parties must be strengthened and continued. He added that Turkey is ready to host high-level meetings to pave the way for peace.
During the call, Erdoğan also congratulated Ukraine on its Independence Day.
