Erdoğan's 'new constitution' message: Whether they accept it or not, we will knock on their doors
Responding to journalists' questions upon his return from Azerbaijan, President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated, "We will knock on doors for a new constitution; there is no need to be coy."
President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan answered journalists' questions upon his return from Azerbaijan.

Erdoğan's assessments regarding the agenda were as follows:
One of the biggest obstacles to the sale and modernization of F-16s from the US to our country, US Senator Bob Menendez, had to temporarily step down from his post following a corruption indictment prepared against him. Are you expecting any movement from the White House regarding both the submission of the F-16 sale to the Senate and the approval of the modernization?
"One of our most significant difficulties regarding the F-16s was the activities of US Senator Bob Menendez against our country. Therefore, our Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan will now closely follow this process. Our Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan already met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in America three or four days ago. These talks are still ongoing. But now, it is beneficial to turn this situation into an opportunity and meet with him again. In this way, we might also have the opportunity to accelerate the process regarding the F-16s. It is not just the F-16s; Menendez and those with his mindset are carrying out obstructive activities against us in all other matters as well. Menendez being out of the picture provides us with an advantage, but the F-16 issue is not a matter solely dependent on Menendez. Our Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will manage the areas that need to be handled. We are now expecting a clear response from the US on this matter. We hope that we will receive the positive result we expect without much delay. This issue itself shows us how important it is to be a self-sufficient country in terms of the defense industry. We were in the same situation before regarding UAVs and UCAVs. At that time, there was the Predator issue. Even though we needed them, we could not buy them from our ally. What did we do? We produced our own UAVs. We didn't stop; we made UCAVs, we made TİHAs (High-Altitude Long-Endurance UAVs), we made Kızılelma, we made Hürkuş, we made Atak... Now we need F-16s, but at the same time, we are working to produce our new generation fighter jet, Kaan."
During your visits to the US, you said that energy drilling work would be initiated with Israel. You even said that energy would be transferred not only to Turkey but also from Turkey to Europe. Where exactly in the Mediterranean will this work take place, and is there a calendar for the work? Also, there is talk of a visit by Netanyahu; has the date for that been set?
The work of our Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the visit date is ongoing. I think Netanyahu's visit to Turkey, which could not be realized due to illness and was postponed, will take place around October-November. The traffic of talks is continuing to ensure this visit happens at the most appropriate time. As you know, the secretariat of these matters belongs to the Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Israel. After that, we will make our return visit. As Turkey and Israel, we are cooperating in many fields. The existence of new areas of cooperation is also a fact. Especially Europe, with the effect of the conjuncture formed after the Russia-Ukraine war, is in search of sustainable energy sources. It is known to everyone that Israel is also in search of transporting its resources to Europe. The most rational route is to deliver these resources to Europe via Turkey. We discussed this in our last meeting and started the work. On the other hand, there are also opportunities for cooperation in terms of drilling activities. We have given instructions to our relevant colleagues to carry out the technical work regarding this. We will clarify the details such as the route, calendar, and drilling areas in the meetings we will hold in both Turkey and Israel as soon as possible.
Fighting inflation is one of the main goals in the Medium-Term Program. Positive developments regarding inflation are projected to occur in the first quarter of next year. So, what will be done in the coming period in the fight against inflation? How is it planned to take steps to combat exorbitant prices?
