Erdoğan signs: International agreements published in the Official Gazette

The "Decision on the Entry into Force of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Regarding the Donation of Sheep and Goat Pox Vaccine (Penpox)," signed in Ankara on December 22, 2023, has been published in the Official Gazette.

The first article of the agreement states: "The Turkish side shall donate 40 thousand doses of sheep and goat pox vaccine needed by the TRNC side in 2023."

Also included in the Official Gazette was the decision regarding the approval of Decision No. 1/2023 of the Joint Committee established by the "Free Trade Agreement" between the Republic of Türkiye and the State of Palestine, concerning the "Exchange of Concessions on Basic Agricultural Products, Processed Agricultural Products, and Fishery Products," in accordance with Article 1 of Law No. 5301 and Articles 2 and 3 of Presidential Decree No. 9.

This decision contains certain amendments made to the agreement.

The decision regarding the "Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Education Between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan," signed in Ankara on May 10, 2022, was also published in the Official Gazette.

The agreement aims for the parties to develop cooperation in the field of education based on the principles of equality and mutual respect, in accordance with their national legislation and the international agreements to which they are parties.

The "Decision on the Approval of the Financing Agreement Regarding the (Interreg VI-B) NEXT Mediterranean Sea Basin (NEXT MED) Cooperation Program, signed on behalf of the Republic of Türkiye in Ankara on October 13, 2023," was also included in the Official Gazette.

A decision was also published in the Official Gazette regarding the "Free Trade Agreement Between the Republic of Türkiye and EFTA States" dated June 25, 2018, stipulating that corrections concerning the concessions granted to Türkiye by Switzerland on processed agricultural products shall be effective as of October 1, 2021.

The decision contains certain amendments made to the agreement.
