Erdoğan targets CHP, sets date for elections! 'We are facing a rotten structure'
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan targeted the CHP in a speech at his party's congress center. Reacting to the primary election process within the CHP, Erdoğan stated, "They are chasing an illusion of their own making by dedicating all their time to the election three years from now."
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended an iftar program held at his party's congress center.
Speaking at the event, Erdoğan targeted the CHP's primary election process to determine its presidential candidate.
Emphasizing that the presidential elections will be held in 3 years, Erdoğan stated the following:
"We never allow the empty debates taking place, especially on the main opposition front, to distract us from the real issues of our country. Even though some are trying to turn internal party conflicts and personal ambitions into the country's issues, the truths are as clear as day.
With their chairman and the actors eyeing that position, they are chasing an illusion of their own making by dedicating all their time to the election three years from now. We are facing a rotten structure where corruption, theft, harassment, rape, and finally fraud have engulfed the entire body.”
"WE TOOK A BRAVE STEP"
Speaking about the new opening process, of which MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli is the architect, Erdoğan argued that they took a brave step, saying, "With our 'Turkey without terrorism' initiative, we took a brave step toward solving the scourge that has cost Turkey 40 years and tens of thousands of lives. We have also thwarted efforts to infect our country with the sedition of sectarianism, a virus that is eating away at our region from within."
