Insult from Erdoğan's advisor Saral to former minister: He attacked Namık Kemal Zeybek

In his October 29 Republic Day speech, Zeybek said, "We were Turks, but we did not know we were Turks. Atatürk taught us that we were Turks and recreated the nation. When he said, 'How happy is the one who says I am a Turk,' all of Turkey echoed his voice. How happy is the one who says I am a Turk. Regardless of their origin, he united the people of this land in the consciousness of Turkishness. This child is important; this is a holiday in its own right."

Zeybek continued, "I see our girls here, shining bright. Would it ever cross their minds that before the Republic, every man could take 4 wives? And the moment he said 'I divorce you,' the woman would be divorced. This was reality. The slave market was in Üsküdar, Istanbul. They would pay money and buy concubines. Consent and marriage were not required. They would receive half the share of inheritance; this is the holiday of women. Women and men are equal. This holiday is that kind of holiday. The Republic, with great revolutions, raised the literacy rate to the highest levels. Do not separate from each other, lock yourselves together. It does not matter which political party you are in, hold on to each other tightly. I see here the power and energy that will save Turkey and raise it to great heights. How happy is the one who says I am a Turk, long live Atatürk's Republic of Turkey."
