Erdoğan's message for the August 30 Victory Day

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan released a message on the occasion of the August 30 Victory Day.

Erdoğan used the following expressions in his message:

"Today, we are celebrating the 102nd anniversary of the Great Victory all together with enthusiasm, excitement, and pride.

On this important day, which is one of the critical thresholds of our history, I congratulate the August 30 Victory Day of our noble nation, our Turkish Cypriot brothers and sisters, and our millions of citizens all around the world.

The Great Victory, which Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk defined as the 'immortal monument of the Turkish nation's idea of freedom and independence,' has eternally registered our nation's presence on Anatolian soil.

With the August 30 Battle of the Commander-in-Chief, the occupying armies were dealt a definitive defeat, the axis of imperialism was shattered, and the doors to the path leading to the proclamation of the Republic were thrown wide open.

With the Great Victory, the Turkish nation once again declared to the entire world that it will not accept captivity, will not allow chains to be placed on its will, and will never compromise on living independently in its own homeland.

The Great Victory, won thanks to the heroism of our martyrs, the blood of our veterans, and the sacrifice of our nation, continues to guide us today.

As we march with determination toward our Century of Turkey goals, we are turning our ideal of a great and powerful Turkey into reality step by step.

We are mobilizing all our resources to stop the conflicts, oppression, and massacres continuing in different geographies of the world, especially in Gaza.

Without looking at their identity or faith, and without expecting any material benefit, we stand tall by the side of the oppressed.

I would like to express this with great satisfaction.

Today we are stronger than yesterday; God willing, we will be much stronger tomorrow.

Together with our friends and brothers who share the same ideal as us, we will certainly establish a global order where everyone is represented with justice.

Turkey, which inspired oppressed nations with the War of Independence, will also lead a world where peace, justice, and tranquility prevail.

With these thoughts, I commemorate the commander-in-chief of the Great Victory, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and his comrades-in-arms with gratitude, I pray for God's mercy upon our martyrs who are the eternal guardians of our independence, and I remember our veterans with appreciation.
