Within the scope of the process continuing with the initiative of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and the 'call' of PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, the 'Imralı delegation'—which includes names such as Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Pervin Buldan, and Ahmet Türk—had requested an appointment to meet with AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan.

Erdoğan had previously responded to a question asked to him by saying, "If the Imralı delegation requests an appointment, I will grant it."

AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan shook hands and chatted with DEM Party MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder before the iftar dinner held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

Erdoğan was accompanied by Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş. It did not go unnoticed that there was occasional laughter during the conversation, which also included Bekir Bozdağ.
