Erhan Afyoncu shares photo of Greek General Trikoupis: 'The best photos in history'
National Defense University Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Afyoncu responded to a controversial C-130 post by the Hellenic Air Force. Afyoncu shared a picture of Greek Commander-in-Chief Trikoupis surrendering his sword to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, along with a photo from a prisoner-of-war camp.
While Turkey was mourning the 20 soldiers who were martyred following the crash of a Turkish Armed Forces C-130 cargo plane on the Azerbaijan-Georgia border, the Hellenic Air Force made a scandalous post.
The Hellenic Air Force shared a photo of their C-130 transport aircraft with the caption "Photo of the day."
Following the backlash, the Greek side deleted the post and later issued condolences.
