Erkan Baş: We are taking to the streets across the country
TİP Chairman Erkan Baş has called on citizens to take to the streets to express their reactions following the decision to revoke Can Atalay's parliamentary membership.
The parliamentary membership of TİP's imprisoned Hatay MP Can Atalay was revoked during a session at the Parliamentary General Assembly. Following the decision announced by Bekir Bozdağ, TİP Chairman Erkan Baş issued a call to citizens.
In a statement made on his social media account, Erkan Baş invited citizens to join. Baş shared the following:
Revoking Can Atalay's parliamentary membership means saying, "I do not recognize the constitution and laws of this country; I will do whatever comes to my mind." We will not leave this unanswered.
We are taking to the streets across the country to protect our nation against coup plotters. We invite all our citizens."
