ERSEN MARTIN AND HIS FOOTBALL CAREER
Born on May 23, 1979, in Germany, Ersen Martin began his football career in the youth academy of Nürnberg. After playing for the U19 team, he was promoted to the senior team. Martin transferred to Beşiktaş in the summer of 1999 and spent the 2000/2001 season on loan at Siirt Jetpa.
Transferring to Göztepe in the 2001/2002 season, Ersen Martin moved to Denizlispor in the summer of 2002. Playing there for 3 seasons, Ersen Martin spent the 2005-2006 season at Ankaraspor.
Signing with Trabzonspor in the summer of 2006, the national football player transferred to Recreativo Huelva in the 2007/2008 season for a transfer fee of 1.1 million Euros. Spending two seasons in Spain, Ersen Martin returned to our country wearing the Sivasspor jersey.
Later playing for Manisaspor, Kasımpaşa, and Gençlerbirliği, Ersen ended his career while playing for Eyüpspor in 2013.
Throughout his club career, Ersen Martin appeared in 371 official matches, scoring 101 goals and providing 27 assists.
Becoming a national player for the first time in 2004, Ersen wore the A national jersey in 3 matches but did not experience the joy of scoring a goal.
