Ersin Destanoğlu: The allegations are baseless and contrary to the truth

Beşiktaş goalkeeper Ersin Destanoğlu has made a statement regarding his inclusion among the names identified as having placed bets within the scope of the Turkish Football Federation's (TFF) betting investigation.

In a post shared on his social media account, Ersin stated the following:

"In the Turkish Football Federation's statement titled 'Disciplinary Referrals' dated 10.11.2025, allegations were made that some football players had placed bets, and my name was shown on this list.

These allegations made against me are completely unfounded, baseless, and contrary to the truth. Throughout my professional career, I have always acted in accordance with the ethical values of football and the requirements of the law.

In the face of these allegations, which constitute an assassination of my reputation, I will not allow myself to be judged in the public eye with baseless accusations; I will use all legal rights granted to me by the law to the fullest extent.

I have full faith that the public will act with common sense in the face of these baseless allegations and that justice will be served as soon as possible."
