Event at Boğaziçi University featuring Orkun Özeller canceled: Who is the Apo-supporter making phone calls?

The Boğaziçi University Turkish Studies Club (TAK) announced that the event titled "A Turkey Without Terror?", which they planned to hold on Thursday, February 12, with the participation of retired Colonel Orkun Özeller, has been canceled.

In the statement made on the club's social media accounts, it was stated that the event was planned to be held within the university, but the organization was canceled.

The statement noted that while individuals with different views have been able to organize events at the university in the past, the cancellation of this specific program was "met with astonishment." The club stated that they leave the assessment of the decision to the discretion of the public.

No official statement has yet been made by the university administration regarding the grounds for the event's cancellation.

Orkun Özeller reacted sharply to the cancellation of the event. In a post on his social media account, Özeller stated, "Who is the Apo-supporter constantly making phone calls to ensure I am not given a conference hall? I am very curious about that terrorist-lover who manages to get their word listened to."
