The eviction process for the Istanbul Park Circuit has reached a deadlock.
An eviction order was issued for the Istanbul Park Circuit, located in Istanbul's Tuzla district, but the operator, Vural Ak, is not vacating the track. The General Directorate of Foundations initiated the eviction process following the expiration of the 20-year lease agreement signed with Formula Istanbul Yatırım A.Ş. (FİYAŞ) on July 18, 2003.
FİYAŞ stated that it would hand over the property vacant by December 31, 2023, by paying the usage fee. However, the eviction process has reached a deadlock as it is not being carried out.
Under the State Tender Law, the Tuzla District Governorship is obligated to clear the track with law enforcement and deliver it to the General Directorate of Foundations.
