Expectation of a scrappage incentive stirs the market: Tradespeople have begun collecting
It is reported that a draft incentive bill similar to the scrappage discount regulation implemented in 2003 is on the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). Economic journalist Bora Erdin stated in a post on his social media account that the sector is interpreting this regulation as a "pre-incentive preparation."
Following the traffic insurance regulation regarding vehicle sales published in the Official Gazette yesterday, it has been observed that sector representatives and tradespeople are preparing for a possible scrappage incentive.
It is stated that some tradespeople, in particular, have begun collecting scrap vehicles.

EXPECTATION HAS INCREASED MARKET ACTIVITY
It is alleged that the regulation pending in Parliament envisions the scrapping of old and unused vehicles and providing various financial advantages to citizens during this process.
In the past, similar practices both revitalized the automotive sector and provided economic convenience to citizens.
Sector representatives state that if concrete steps regarding the scrappage incentive are announced, the second-hand vehicle market will become even more active and tradespeople will play an important role in this process. For now, no official statement has been made by the authorities regarding the matter.
LINKED TO TRAFFIC INSURANCE REGULATION
Yesterday's traffic insurance regulation is being evaluated within the sector as a preliminary preparation for the incentive process.
While it is wondered whether this regulation is connected to a possible scrappage incentive, experts state that such changes may aim to facilitate the implementation of incentives.
As the public and sector representatives wait for the details regarding the scrappage incentive to become clear, all eyes have turned to the official statements to come from the TBMM.
