Expert committee appointed for the 'secret archive' seized at Bebek Hotel

Within the scope of the drug and prostitution investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, various allegations have emerged regarding the Bebek Hotel, owned by businessman Muzaffer Yıldırım, and a residence located in Şişli. Findings reflected in the investigation file allege that gambling activities, drug use, and events attended only by special invitees were held at the addresses in question, and that secret camera recordings were made during this process.

According to a report by Sabah, it was previously determined during searches that a section of the İstanbloom residence where Yıldırım lived had been converted into a gambling area. A poker table, gaming chips, marking apparatus, and tally books were seized during the searches. According to the allegations, along with these books containing the names of more than 30 businesspeople who allegedly gambled, a large number of digital materials were discovered in a storage room on the lower floor of the residence.

DIGITAL MATERIALS FOUND IN STORAGE

According to information provided by authorities, more than 30 flash drives, hundreds of CDs, and recording devices belonging to security cameras were seized in the storage room. It is alleged that the majority of the digital materials were encrypted, and some recordings contained footage of areas inside the hotel. It was reported that all materials were confiscated and handed over to judicial authorities.

According to findings obtained within the scope of the investigation, it is alleged that events were held on the terrace floor of the Bebek Hotel that could only be entered with a special card and where a maximum of 50 people were accepted. It is claimed that after these events, some guests moved to six separate VIP rooms in the hotel, and technical traces of secret camera setups were found in the rooms in question.

EXPERT COMMITTEE APPOINTED

A special expert committee was formed by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office under the coordination of a deputy chief prosecutor. It was stated that the committee, which includes cyber experts from the Police and Gendarmerie, will analyze the encrypted digital data.
