Expert gives a date! Summer is coming back
Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen stated in a post on his social media account that summer temperatures will return. Şen reported that temperatures will reach summer levels over the weekend.
While temperatures were expected to drop across Turkey, a surprising statement came from Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen. Şen announced that the heavy rainfall, which has been effective in many provinces for some time, will give way to heat once again.

Orhan Şen stated in his social media post that temperatures will start to rise from today and will reach summer levels by the weekend.

Şen used the following expressions in his post:
“Summer is coming back. Temperatures are starting to rise from today. Temperatures that fell below the average in the inner and eastern regions will rise above it. They will increase even more across the country over the weekend, reaching summer values. Extreme heat will be effective in Aydın, Manisa, Muğla, Hatay, and Adana over the weekend.
This is not 'pastırma' (Indian) summer. For it to be 'pastırma' summer, night temperatures need to drop in November. If there is a difference of around 20 degrees between noon and night, it is called 'pastırma' summer.”
