Experts warn: There is an unspoken epidemic of cannabis use among children in Turkey

While experts and doctors continue to warn that the age of drug use is falling every day, a very serious and equally frightening statement has come from Pediatrician Prof. Dr. Elif Dağlı.

Pediatrician Prof. Dr. Elif Dağlı was a guest on the 12'de Sağlık program, prepared and hosted by renowned journalist Ayşegül Aydoğan Atakan for 12punto.com.tr. In the program, where she discussed the dangers of electronic cigarettes, Dağlı made striking remarks.

"CANNABIS USE EPIDEMIC"

Towards the end of the program, Dağlı used expressions that will set the agenda in Turkey.

Stating that she received frightening information about cannabis use during meetings with pediatricians, Pediatrician Prof. Dr. Elif Dağlı said the following:

"We work with pediatricians, and I will be attending one of their congresses... In an online meeting we held with pediatricians, I was on the verge of tears at what I heard. All private pediatricians said that their own patients were using cannabis. They gave so many examples, saying that even mothers cannot stop them!

There is actually a very serious, unspoken epidemic of cannabis use in Turkey."
