The incident occurred at Ayıntap Anatolian High School in the Şahinbey district.
According to allegations, the helium-filled balloons exploded for an unknown reason while the 2023-2024 academic year graduation ceremony was being held at the school.
While 6 of the students, who suffered burns on various parts of their bodies, were treated on-site, 2 students were taken to the hospital after receiving initial intervention from medical teams that arrived at the scene.
It was learned that the students are in good condition, while the moment the helium-filled balloons exploded was captured second by second on a mobile phone camera.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
