Good news for New Year's: Extra services and free travel

Metro Istanbul has announced that certain metro, tram, and funicular lines in the city will continue to operate during the night on New Year's Eve. In a statement shared on Metro Istanbul's social media account, it was stated that "on the night connecting December 31 to January 1, our services will continue until the morning services begin on the M1A Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport, M1B Yenikapı-Kirazlı, M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman, M3 Kirazlı-Kayaşehir Merkez, M4 Kadıköy-Sabiha Gökçen Airport, M5 Üsküdar-Çekmeköy, M6 Levent-Boğaziçi University/Hisarüstü, M7 Yıldız-Mahmutbey, and M9 Bahariye-Olimpiyat metro lines."

The statement also noted that services on the T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar, T3 Kadıköy-Moda, T4 Topkapı-Mescid-i Selam, and T5 Eminönü-Alibeyköy tram lines, as well as the F1 Taksim-Kabataş and F4 Boğaziçi University/Hisarüstü-Aşiyan funicular lines, have been extended until 02:00, adding that "on January 1, our services are free for personalized Istanbulkart users."
