Failed to heed 'stop' order: Vehicle carrying irregular migrants crashes into police car
18 people, including 4 police officers, were injured in an accident caused by a vehicle carrying irregular migrants on the Anatolian Motorway.
On the Kocaeli section of the Anatolian Motorway, 18 people, including 4 police officers, were injured when a light commercial vehicle carrying irregular migrants crashed into 2 police vehicles while attempting to flee.
Police teams conducting checks on the Izmit section of the motorway attempted to stop the light commercial vehicle with license plate 34 GRA 929, which they found suspicious while it was heading in the direction of Istanbul.

The teams began pursuing the vehicle after its driver failed to heed the "stop" order and attempted to escape.

The light commercial vehicle, which was carrying 14 irregular migrants, crashed into 2 police vehicles near the toll booths in the Körfez section of the motorway.
Upon notification, a large number of medical teams were dispatched to the area.

The 18 people injured in the accident, including 4 police officers, were taken to hospitals in the city by medical teams.
