Fake medicine operation by Istanbul police! Worth 50 million....
In operations conducted against medicine smugglers in Istanbul, 16 suspects were apprehended, and a large quantity of fake, smuggled, and spoiled medicine with a market value of 50 million liras was seized. Medical products, including allergy tests, Botox, fillers, and drugs used for cancer and diabetes, were displayed at the police headquarters, and 9 of the captured suspects were arrested.

According to the information received, teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch carried out a series of operations between April 15 and April 25 aimed at preventing fraud in the pharmaceutical sector and apprehending the suspects involved.
Following technical and physical surveillance, police conducted raids on a total of 36 addresses, including 16 residences and 20 workplaces, where it was determined that fake, smuggled, and illegal medicines, as well as medical devices and materials, were stored in unauthorized areas. During the raids, 16 suspects were taken into custody. The operations resulted in the seizure of medical materials with a market value of approximately 50 million liras, including items that require a cold chain and had spoiled, as well as allergy tests, Botox drugs, fillers, and medications used in the treatment of cancer, diabetes, infections, high blood pressure, and sexual diseases.
The captured suspects were taken to the Istanbul Financial Crimes Investigation Branch for questioning. Following their interrogation, 7 of the 16 medicine smugglers brought before the court were released by judicial authorities. It was announced that the remaining 9 suspects were arrested and sent to prison.
On the other hand, the fake, spoiled, and smuggled medicines seized during the operations were displayed at the Istanbul Police Department located on Vatan Street.
