Response to famous actor Ümit Erdim's Bilal Erdoğan claim was not delayed

Famous actor Ümit Erdim, in an interview with Levent Cengizhan on the Baba Sosyal YouTube channel, explained that he had taken a group photo with names such as Oğuzhan Koç, Eser Yenenler, Sefo, and Volkan Demirel at an event he attended at the invitation of Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Batuhan Mumcu.

Erdim claimed that his advertising contract with Petrol Ofisi was canceled after President Erdoğan's son, Bilal Erdoğan, also appeared in the photo.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM PETROL OFİSİ

Following the allegations, a written statement was issued by Petrol Ofisi. The statement reported that there was no annual contract with actor Ümit Erdim and that the claim that project-based collaborations were stopped due to photos taken at the event was completely untrue.

The following statements were included in Petrol Ofisi's statement:

“A public statement has been deemed necessary due to untrue claims made about our company in various media outlets. Petrol Ofisi does not have an annual contract with actor Ümit Erdim. The claim that project-based collaborations carried out in the recent past were stopped due to photos taken at an event is completely baseless. As a national value that has been working for Turkey since 1941, we will exercise our legal rights against individuals and institutions that spread unfounded claims that damage our reputation.”
