Famous presenter Okan Karacan in custody

A major operation was conducted against companies within Anahat Holding under the instruction of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigation was launched on charges of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "illegal betting," and "money laundering." Within the scope of the operation, officials and several individuals at the company, including GAİN Medya, were taken into custody.

Among them is the famous presenter Okan Karacan.

ACCUSATIONS AGAINST GAİN MEDYA

The background of the investigation launched into Anahat Holding and its affiliated companies includes MASAK reports, expert reports, secret witness testimonies, and records regarding the interception of communications. Furthermore, findings from trade registry records and open-source research revealed that the activities of these companies were contrary to the ordinary flow of commercial life. According to the findings, it was assessed that the income generated from the holding's companies was derived from crime.

Within the scope of the operation, high-level executives of the holding, Berkin Kaya, Barbaros Reşat Gülcan, and Selahattin Aydın, were also taken into custody. In a statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that movable and immovable properties obtained from crime were seized. Additionally, a trustee was appointed by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) to seven of the holding's companies.
