Fans wearing masks of Mahmut Yıldırım, codenamed 'Yeşil', give statements

An investigation was launched after a video was shared on social media showing some fans wearing masks of Mahmut Yıldırım, codenamed "Yeşil," while traveling in a minibus before the Sakaryaspor-Amed Sportif Faaliyetler match, which was played at the Istanbul Esenyurt Necmi Kadıoğlu Stadium on Wednesday, August 28, in the 3rd week of the Trendyol 1st League.

Within the scope of the investigation launched against them for the crimes of "inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting" and "violating the Law No. 6222 on the Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports," 6 fans were taken to the police station by police teams to have their statements taken. The fans were released after their statements were recorded.

Some fans wearing masks of Mahmut Yıldırım, codenamed "Yeşil," shared those moments on social media.

The footage shows the fans wearing masks with the picture of Mahmut Yıldırım on their faces, and one fan posing with a knife inscribed with "Tatangalar."
