Farmer who said 'The state cannot be run with radishes and turnips' rebels

Farmers struggling to make a living have begun to raise their voices in the face of an increasingly dire economic situation. Abdullah Ceylan, who previously gained recognition for his "The state cannot be run with radishes and turnips" remark at a rally held in Yozgat for CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, has made striking statements once again.

According to ANKA, Ceylan, who expressed the difficulties he faces as someone from the agricultural sector, described the current situation with these words:

"As a farmer, my situation is clear; life is bad. We have reached a point where we cannot perform the work we are supposed to do. We planted so many crops. Onions and potatoes are left in the field. We are going to end up in conflict with the workers; if we don't have this produce harvested, our field will also be ruined."

Demanding that the government take action against the crisis in agriculture, Ceylan called on the state to provide a solution:

"The state needs to step in. Whether it's the Minister of Agriculture, the Minister of Trade, or those involved in international trade and ship owners, they should transport our goods to European countries. Let them give us fuel, and we will provide the goods; they should support us."

Arguing that the problems of producers like himself are being ignored by the authorities, Ceylan intensified his reaction:

"Such a thing cannot be. The Minister of Finance is unaware, and the Minister of Industry is unaware. We produce these goods for the nation. We held a rally in Yozgat once, but it seems it didn't benefit anyone and didn't affect the state at all. Let this injustice be ended."
