The Ministry of Trade reported that due to protests carried out by farmers in Greece, operations at the İpsala and Kipi Customs Gates cannot be performed as the route on the Greek side has been closed to truck traffic.

In the statement made by the Ministry, it was stated, "Due to the strike initiated by farmers in Greece, truck operations at the İpsala and Kipi Customs Gates have not been possible since the evening hours of 02.12.2025, as the road on the Greek side has been closed to truck traffic. Information has been received that the Ormenio Customs Gate, located on Greece's border with Bulgaria, has also been closed by farmers as part of the strike."

The statement also noted that requests for exemptions regarding the passage of vehicles carrying specific loads have been submitted, and the following expressions were used:

"Necessary initiatives have been taken to exempt refrigerated trucks carrying fish, eggs, fruits and vegetables, flowers, medical supplies, and tankers carrying chemicals with ADR certificates from the strike. It has been learned that actions will also be taken at Greece's border gates opening to Bulgaria and Macedonia due to the strike, that truck crossings will not be permitted at these border gates either, and that the strike will continue until December 15-21. It is important that trucks be directed to other customs gates during this process," it was stated.
