Fate of 65 suspects in May 1 Saraçhane incidents determined
65 suspects who were detained on charges of attacking police with stones and sticks at Saraçhane Square in Istanbul during the May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day had been referred to the courthouse. 52 of those suspects have been arrested.
The Provincial Security Directorate Security Branch teams had sent 35 people caught during the incidents at Saraçhane Square on May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day, as well as 30 suspects who were subsequently detained after being identified as involved in the attack through camera footage and facial recognition systems, to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan under police escort following health checks.
52 of the suspects in question were arrested today.
