Father arrested for sexually abusing his 9-month-old baby found dead in prison

An investigation was launched in the Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ following a report that a 9-month-old baby boy had been sexually abused. The mother and father were arrested as part of the sexual abuse investigation.

REVEALED AFTER SHARING

In the incident that occurred in the Veliköy neighborhood of Çerkezköy, Tekirdağ, the mother, F.G., and the man she was living with, G.Ş., shared a video recording of themselves sexually abusing their 9-month-old baby boy. A citizen noticed the situation and reported it to security forces.

ARRESTED IN TWO DIFFERENT CITIES

Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Çerkezköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, district gendarmerie teams detained the mother in Amasya and the father in Istanbul.

After being detained, the suspects were brought to Çerkezköy. Following the completion of procedures at the prosecutor's office, the mother and father were referred to the courthouse, where they were arrested by the judge and sent to prison.

It was learned that the 9-month-old victim of the sexual abuse has been taken under state protection.

FATHER FOUND DEAD IN PRISON

In the chilling abuse case, the father, who had been arrested for sexually abusing his 9-month-old baby, was found dead in prison. The news of the abusive father's death was announced by Tekirdağ Bar Association President Egemen Gürcün.

Sharing information received from the Çerkezköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Egemen Gürcün stated that the abusive father had committed suicide. Stating that they are following the process regarding the incident, Gürcün made the following post:

"Information has been received that the father, who was arrested in the investigation launched by the Çerkezköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on allegations of sexual abuse of a 9-month-old baby, has committed suicide in prison. We are following the matter with sensitivity."
