Father beats son for 'finishing the test too early'! Child taken into protective custody
In Başakşehir, a father who physically abused his child on the grounds that he 'finished the test in less time than expected' was released after giving his statement. The incident was recorded on a mobile phone camera, and the child has been taken into protective custody.
Police took action yesterday evening following a report that a person was physically abusing his child in Başakşehir. Teams arriving at the address in the report took the father, C.O., to the police station, while the child was taken into protective custody. It was learned that C.O. did not believe his son had finished the tests he was given in less time than expected and therefore physically abused the child.
The suspect father was referred to the courthouse for the crime of "violence against a child" following his processing at the police station.
While C.O. was released following his interrogation at the criminal judgeship of peace, the abused child was handed over to a foster care facility. Meanwhile, the moments when the father physically abused his son were recorded by a mobile phone camera.
