An avalanche occurred on Mount Palandöken in Erzurum while members of the Youth National Judo Team were present. In the resulting avalanche disaster, 5 people were injured, 1 of them seriously.
16-year-old national athlete Emre Yazgan, who was seriously injured as a result of the avalanche, could not be saved despite all interventions and passed away.
