Father of July 15 martyr: “We received one of the most welcome pieces of news this morning”

Fetullah Gülen, the leader of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), has died in the United States, where he had been living as a fugitive since 1999.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that the death of Gülen, the figure behind the July 15 coup attempt, conspiracy trials, and numerous crises, has been confirmed by intelligence sources.

Yahya Yiğit, the father of Police Special Operations Assistant Commissioner Cennet Yiğit, who was martyred in the attack carried out by FETÖ on the Special Operations Department in Ankara during the bloody coup attempt on July 15, 2016, described the news of the death by saying, “We received one of the most welcome pieces of news today.”

“WE WOULD NOT GIVE UP A SINGLE PEBBLE”

“I cannot say ‘he died’ for Fethullah Gülen, the leader of those traitors who carried out the July 15 coup and a servant of the Zionists. Humans die, animals die, but I cannot say ‘died’ for this person who is in the lowest of the low,” the martyr's father said. “Let the terrorist organizations that betray our homeland know this: we may burn, but we will be reborn from our ashes. They should know well that we would not give up even a pebble of this homeland, let alone a piece of it,” he added.

“HOPEFULLY IT WILL REACH THE POINT OF COLLAPSE”

Reminding that the Turkish nation gave 251 martyrs during the bloody coup attempt, the grieving father stated, “Hopefully, with his death, it will reach the point of collapse. Because evil has never been permanent on earth. No matter what they do, Allah will complete His light.”

The grieving mother of martyr Cennet Yiğit used the expression, “A little bit of relief has been brought to our hearts.”
