Fatih Altaylı comments on the Selvi-Ali Koç dispute: 'Who knows what you've eaten?'

Hürriyet newspaper columnist Abdulkadir Selvi had targeted Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç in an article he wrote following the controversial Super Cup final.

Responding to these allegations during a television program he attended, Koç reminded Selvi of the article he wrote in Yeni Şafak newspaper for FETÖ ringleader Gülen, titled "Come back."

After a 3-day silence, Selvi penned a new article in which he ultimately accused Ali Koç and the late Mustafa Koç of the Koç family of being FETÖ members and 'Gezi supporters'.

Finally, journalist Fatih Altaylı made comments on the subject during a broadcast on his YouTube channel.

Altaylı said the following:

"IT IS CONTRARY TO THE NATURE OF THINGS..."

"It is a burden for me even to talk about this. What could Ali Koç possibly have to do with FETÖ? The praises Abdulkadir Selvi heaped upon the person named Fetullah Gülen in the past are still in the archives. 'Come back, Hodja' and all that, they are all still there.

During the Gezi protests, which were one of the first plots by FETÖ to stir up Turkey; it was later discussed that those who started Gezi were actually a FETÖ group, and that those who prepared the environment for Gezi to form were a FETÖ group.

You call Ali Koç both a FETÖ member and a Gezi supporter, make up your mind. In my life, I have never heard a single word or anything suggesting that Ali Koç has any connection to FETÖ. I know that his late brother, Mustafa Koç, like many other businessmen, was taken to visit Fetullah Gülen. Everyone you can think of in Turkey today was taken to visit FETÖ. Many important names mentioned today never left his side. What could Mustafa Koç possibly have to do with FETÖ? For Ali Koç to have such a thing is contrary to the nature of things.

"THESE ARE ALL FETÖ TACTICS"

When Selvi says this, the question 'could it be?' comes to mind. These are all FETÖ tactics. Selvi is just throwing things out there. I can make a thousand criticisms of Ali Koç, but calling him a FETÖ member is beyond ridiculous. The pineapples and all that... They received pineapples as gifts, and they say, 'Who knows what you've eaten?' I love these 'almond-mustached' types. They can say anything to anyone without the slightest bit of shame. It is very interesting."
