The couple Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who were constantly in the headlines for their luxurious lifestyle, were sent to prison following a money laundering investigation launched against them.

It was learned that Dilan Polat's first request after being transferred to prison and taken to the infirmary due to feeling unwell was to see her children. The prison administration did not approve Polat's request to speak with her children on the phone, stating, "You do not have the necessary paperwork."

Dilan Polat told the authorities, "I don't want my children to see me here. I don't want to be seen in a prison environment."

Journalist Fatih Altaylı lashed out at these words from Dilan Polat, who was arrested on allegations including money laundering and tax evasion.

Altaylı reacted sharply, saying, ''They have children... What do I care, what do I care! 'I did this but I have a child,' well, what a nice life! Tell me what happened now. There is nothing to pity here; it was fine when you were scamming the poor, and now suddenly you're fainting. The dates you ate in the summer will scratch your backside in the winter" .
