AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement, "We believe that Turkish democracy will hopefully attain a main opposition party with the maturity, quality, and vision it deserves in the coming period," has brought the possibility of a "null and void" (mutlak butlan) ruling regarding the ongoing CHP congress lawsuit to the agenda.

Journalist Fatih Altaylı, in his article titled "May your nullity be auspicious", made striking assessments regarding the latest developments in the political agenda.

Stating, "We can now say that 'what is coming is coming,' meaning nullity," Altaylı emphasized that Erdoğan's statement is not the only indicator.

Drawing attention to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu chatting with Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency, at Hüsamettin Cindoruk's funeral and not greeting CHP leader Özgür Özel, Altaylı used the expressions, "Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who would be placed at the head of the CHP if a nullity decision is taken, has suddenly become overly visible, or has been made so."

In the continuation of his article, Altaylı claimed, "The 'opposition media' also seems quite eager in the operation to put Kılıçdaroğlu back into a gift package; it is clear that they are also preparing for the 'nullity' period."

Noting that 2 possibilities await the CHP in the event of a "null and void" ruling, Altaylı continued his article as follows:

"The first is that Kılıçdaroğlu comes, immediately starts the congress process, the congress convenes within a few months, and the congress makes its choice.

Özgür Özel returns to the head of the party and the party continues on its path, becoming even stronger.

This is the 'good' possibility for the CHP and Turkey.

However, the probability of it happening is less than one in a thousand. The will that would place Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu at the head of the party would not allow Kılıçdaroğlu to follow such a path; if such a path were to be tolerated, the nullity decision would not be issued in the first place.

The second and strong possibility is that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu remains at the head of the party until the election and tries his luck for the 14th time, saying 'I will win this time.' In the meantime, he sits at the table with the AK Party for the Constitutional amendment and gives his support for Erdoğan to be a candidate once again.

This is a quite strong possibility, and it is already the expectation of those who 'place him there.'

In this case, what will happen is this.

The CHP's votes, which exceed 30 percent today, will begin to fall rapidly.

The CHP will probably not have a threshold problem, but it will lose at least 15 points of its votes.

A significant portion of these 15 points will shift to the IYI Party.

Young CHP voters will take refuge in the Zafer Party.

These two parties will reach the votes to pass the threshold.

A portion of CHP voters will say 'to hell with it' and will not go to the ballot box.

If a nullity decision is taken, this is what will happen.

This decision will not increase the AKP's votes.

But it will weaken the other side even more and make it even more fragmented.

The government already thinks that it can win not by increasing its own votes, but by decreasing the other side's.
