Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan reacted to the cancellation of the license of the Iran-based Bank Mellat in Turkey by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency.
Erbakan expressed his reaction to the decision on his social media account with the following statements:
"You are absent when our citizens are practically being defrauded in the stock market under the name of funds, but you are champions at canceling Bank Mellat's license overnight because America asked."
"IS THERE ANY SIDE TO THIS THAT BENEFITS TURKEY?"
Fatih Erbakan continued his words as follows:
"While urea fertilizer prices have skyrocketed, is there a single positive aspect of this decision, which will make trade with Iran, one of the world's largest urea producers, even more difficult and increase costs, that benefits Turkey? What kind of logic is it to sacrifice one's own farmers and producers to the instructions of a foreigner? When foreign powers make a demand, you run to the front, but when your own citizens cry out, you do not hear them. There is no such way to govern. It is time for us to take charge."
