The countdown continues for the elections to be held on March 31. The Yeniden Refah Party announced that they will field their own candidates in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir in the local elections.

PORTAKAL REVEALED THE NAME WHO WAS APPROACHED WITH AN OFFER
Journalist Fatih Portakal announced a striking development during a live broadcast.
Portakal stated that YRP had approached a former IYI Party member with an offer for the Istanbul candidacy. Highlights from Portakal's statement:
"Today there is a tradesman restaurant in Kağıthane... I was there, 3 gentlemen walked in. They had the Yeniden Refah Party badge on their lapels. The people who arrived were officials from the YRP district organization. I said, 'Good luck, Mr. Fatih is going to announce his own candidate, who will it be, is there a name you've heard?' They told me it could be Yavuz Ağıralioğlu.
I said, 'Come on.' He is trying to establish his own party, could it be, I said. They said yes, and if not, they said they wanted to see Elif Erbakan.
YAVUZ AĞIRALİOĞLU DID NOT ACCEPT
Later, we were talking to our Ankara news director Mehmet Bal, I said, 'Could you look into this?' Yes, an offer went to Mr. Yavuz. Mr. Yavuz expressed his gratitude and stated that he is not considering becoming a candidate from YRP for now. The offer also came from Fatih Erbakan."
