Fatih Terim decision in the Seçil Erzan case! Investigation launched...

New details continue to emerge in the fraud case where former Denizbank branch manager Seçil Erzan allegedly collected money from football players and business people under the name of the 'Fatih Terim Fund' with the promise of high returns.

TERİM HAD SAID 'I NEVER GAVE MONEY TO ERZAN'

Giving a statement to the prosecutor's office in the capacity of a 'person whose information is sought' within the scope of the investigation, manager Fatih Terim had said, "I never gave any money to Seçil Erzan regarding this fund. I have no connection whatsoever to the mentioned fund." Terim also explained that he was not asked for money for the mentioned fund. Fatih Terim further stated that upon hearing about the incident, he transferred his money in the bank to his wife Fulya Terim's account at another bank, and claimed that 3 million dollars of this money was sent short.

Seçil Erzan, in her prosecutor's interrogation on May 2, 2023, stated that she did not receive money from Fatih Terim for the fund, but that she was his financial advisor, that she had handled all of Terim's banking transactions since 2012, that she had not performed any illegal transactions, and that if there were such an allegation, she could explain every transaction in detail.

TECHNICAL REVIEW FOR FATIH TERIM

According to the report by Cumhuriyet; the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched a technical review to examine whether money from Fatih Terim's bank account was used for the 'secret fund', whether Terim deposited money into this fund, or whether he received money from the fund. It was learned that the prosecutor's office's investigation into the matter is ongoing.
