Fatma Şahin's remarks at housing delivery ceremony make waves on social media: 'Who is our father?'

A key and title deed delivery ceremony for 5,113 housing units was held in the Güneyşehir district of Gaziantep.

The construction of permanent housing for earthquake survivors, who were temporarily staying in containers, was launched rapidly.

Some of the new housing units, which are earthquake-resistant, compatible with the region's living conditions, and designed with social areas in mind, have been completed, while construction continues on others.

5,113 HOUSING UNITS DELIVERED

The Earthquake and Social Housing Key and Title Deed Delivery Ceremony for 5,113 units was held in Gaziantep. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who attended the ceremony, personally handed the keys to the beneficiaries.

Fatma Şahin subsequently thanked Minister Murat Kurum in particular. Şahin said, "We built a kindergarten for our children, and we are building a retirees' club here. Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin pointed out that there was nothing related to settlement in Güneyşehir 2 years ago, stating, "Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we turned these places into a residential area. Gaziantep has always supported me. You are entrusted to us. Gaziantep is in safe hands. We have fulfilled every one of the promises we have made so far."
